Chandrabindu has an appeal of their own. With each album and each new releases that appeal has become their Identity. Their albums have the ability to take you through a roller coaster ride – from ABOLTABOL to T.S. Eliot. Their inspirations are many and so are their outputs. Such an album is ‘Juju’. What is ‘Juju’??? Well any Bengali kid knows Juju – a fictitious character who punishes kids for their misdeeds and mischief. The first song of the album Mon is a typical Anindya track which will definitely transport you to a land of dreams, thanks to its wonderful melody and heart touching lyrics. The fifth song is equally touching. After listening to these songs you will definitely feel a nostalgic heartache is which at once soothing and passionate. Songs like Juju or anka ki kothin are also typical Chandrabindu products. I feel these songs have come up for their search of sense in non-sense – a project which Sukumar Roy had taken up a long time back and successfully added a new dimension to Bengali Literature.
